Beautifying the Bathroom

So I decided that it was time to spruce of my bathroom area. It is pretty plan and the bathtub area was extremely boring. I hardly ever take a bath in my jetted tub because it is so uninviting. I wanted a bathtub that said, "Come and Relax" not whatever mine said. So here are the before and after pictures and I will let you know where I got everything.

In the picture above you can see that I added many new things to make the area more inviting. I think that the curtains were probably the most important purchase. They helped soften the area and make it more relaxing. I bought them at Kirklands for $16. They were 84 inches in length and were way too long. I tied them in knots and that shortened them just enough. I then took my good old stapler and stapled them to the wall so that they wouldn't gap at the sides. I bought the curtain rod from Ross for $6. I bought the canisters for epsom salts and baking soda from Home Goods for $5 each. I bought the red vase and grass stuff from Ross for about $8. I got the glass vases from Goodwill for $2 each and found the river rocks that are inside the vases from Home Goods for $4. The candles I also purchased from Goodwill for $3 total. I already had the towels and the little basket on left corner.

In these two pictures I spruced up the towel area and added a rug in front of the sinks. I already had all the towels but I added two baskets to make it more visually interesting and to hide some of my junk. I bought one basket for $7 and the other for $10 from Ross. The rug I got from Ross also for $16. The rug was a great buy but the baskets were a splurge for me. I looked at Home Goods, World Market, and GoodWill for baskets but they were all more expensive than the ones I found at Ross.

So I revamped my whole bathroom for under $90. I think that was a pretty good deal. I still have two other things that I would like to add to the bathroom but they will be slightly more expensive and will have to come at a different time. I want a new lighting fixture for over the mirror and would also like to add some sort of detail to the mirror itself.

Thanks for taking a look and let me know what you think!
